understanding cleansing, part 1

Cleansing cannot be defined because it cannot be isolated. It includes (and is a by-product of) what appears to be its polar opposite (nutrition). Cleansing can only be understood in a spiritual or whole-body sense.

Take any organism and you find two primary, and supposedly independent, functions:
  1. absorption of nutrients (nourish)
  2. elimination of waste (cleanse)
They are thought of as independent because separated in time and space. We eat in the kitchen and sh_t sometime later in the bathroom. Many of us never make the connection and yet:
  1. the better you nourish, the better you cleanse,
  2. the less you nourish, the better you cleanse,
  3. the better you cleanse, the better you nourish
  4. the less you cleanse, the sicker you get.
We shall discuss each of the above statements in coming days.
